Langtang – Gosainkunda Trekking combines the isolated and stunning valley of Langtang. It includes holy high mountain lakes such as Gosainkunda and Bhairabkunda. Trekkers can see the gorgeous Langtang National Park, hidden valley fantastic mountain views along with ethnic encounters. The foremost highlights of this trekking are rhododendron, pine, oak and bamboo forests, an abundance of wildlife, majestic waterfall, snow-capped mountain peaks, glaciers, Lakes, Buddhist monastery, local Yak cheese, inhabited by Tamang heritage.

Gosainkunda Lake is the holy pilgrimage of both Hindu and Buddhist religions; most of the Hindu people bath in the lake during the month of August in the full moon day; the festival of Janai Purnima. People believe all sin goes out from their lives after bathing in this icy lake. Hindu people also believe that the god Shiva intoxicated by grief due to his wife’s (Parbati) death, felt over thirsty so he hit in the rock with his holy stick,(Trisul) thus created this lake. You can see the image of Shiva on the surface of water according to the Hindu religion.

Langtang Gosainkunda Lake trekking gives you an opportunity to observe high mountain peaks such as Langtang (7234m, Langtang Lirung (7245m) Lakpa Dorje (6989m) Sishapangma (8027m), Gyangchempo (6387m), Ganesh Himal (7429m) as well as Himalayan Glaciers, and Holy Lakes.
