Journey of Glimpse of Bhutan Tour encompasses western Bhutan’s ‘must see’ highlights. The tour begins in the scenic Paro Valley with a hike to the famous Tiger`s Nest (Taktsang) monastery. We will visit Thimpu a unique capital city that has a blend of traditional and modern touch. Then we will drive across the picturesque Dochu La Pass into the subtropical valleys of Punakha and Wangdue. We will visit the ancient Capital of Bhutan, a medieval Dzong of Wangdue and then return to Paro for your journey back home. During Glimpse Bhutan tour, you will experience breath-taking view of Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga and other famous Himalayan peaks including the sacred Jumolhari and Mount Jichu Drake in Bhutan.
Detailed Itinerary
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
When you will land in Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu, check your hand bag, go to immigration office, make visa for your trip and get your suitcase, where outside our represented member shows you the board of our Company and your Name, transfer to the hotel. Our director meets you in the hotel and discusses about your whole trip. In the evening you will participate to experience typical Nepali food with cultural dance show.
Kathmandu Cultural Tour
Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in the Valley. Patan and Bhaktapur, its two major neighboring cities bear immense historical, cultural and religious significance. There will be a full day guided tour to the famous and biggest Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal Bouddhanath, Old Kathmanu city as well as Swyambhunath.
Kathmandu to Paro flight, drive to Thimphu
Upon arrival at Paro Airport, meet, assist and drive to Thimphu the capital of Bhutan through terraced fields along the river bangs downstream to its confluence with Wangchu then up valley to Thimphu.
Thimphu – Sightseeing
Morning visit Memorial Chorten, and drive to see Takin (Bhutan\'s national animal) penned up there between the pine trees. After lunch visit Jungsi Paper factory, Nunnery Monastery, Arts and Crafts School. After this, your hotel will welcome you for dinner.
Thimphu – Punakha – Wangdi – Thimphu
Drive to Punakha over the Dochu La pass which is at an altitude of 3,050meters (10,000ft) and on the way you will see more of the beautiful scenery Bhutan has to offer. Once at Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong, and settle down for the lunch. After lunch visit Wangdi Dzong from the outside and drive to Thimphu.
Thimphu – Paro- Sightseeing
Morning, drive to Paro. On the way visit Simtokha Dzong (the oldest Dzong in Bhutan) and today it is a house of the traditional school. Continue drive to Paro. In the afternoon we visit the National Museum, Paro Dzong and Satsam Chorten Monastery.
Paro – Kathmandu
Early breakfast and transfer to Paro Airport for your onward departure flight
