Chepang Village Tour:
Many countries in the world have been promoting beautiful villages as destinations for village tourism. Village tourism is an important tool to somewhat remove poverty in rural areas. In Nepal, many villages have been identified as a destination for village tourism. Visitors consume local products. They also buy handicrafts and local products. Moreover, Chepang Village Tour provides villagers with an alternative source of income. This helps to alleviate poverty thereby lifting the living standards of the locals. Chitwan is also renowned for its wildlife. Chitwan literally means ‘heart of the jungle’. In recent years, Chitwan tops the list of things to do in Asia. Chitwan is a true wildlife adventure. Activities in Chitwan offer a different slant on the luxuriant forest.
Sal forest covers 70% of the total land of Royal Chitwan national park. In addition to this, there are about 600 species of plants. Chitwan is also home to the only significant number of one-horned rhinos. Other endangered species like the Royal Bengal Tiger, the Gangetic Dolphins, and the Gharial Crocodile live in Chitwan. There are altogether over 43 species of large mammals. Moreover, Chitwan consists of 526 species of birds.
Detailed Itinerary
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
When you will land in Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu, check your hand bag, go to immigration office, make visa for your trip and get your suitcase, where outside our represented member shows you the board of our Company and your Name, transfer to the hotel. Our director meets you in the hotel and discusses about your whole trip. In the evening you will participate to experience typical Nepali food with cultural dance show.
Kathmandu Cultural Tour
Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in the Valley. Patan and Bhaktapur, its two major neighboring cities bear immense historical, cultural and religious significance. There will be a full day guided tour to the famous and biggest Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal Bouddhanath, Old Kathmanu city as well as Swyambhunath.
Kathmandu to Chitwan
We drive to Chitwan from Kathmandu. On the way we enjoy the view of Trishuli River, local villages and forests too.
Jungle Safari Activities in Chitwan National Park
Today is the full day tour of Jungle Activities. Elephant Riding, Jungle walk, Canoeing, Elephant Bath, village walk, are the main destination of Chitwan National Park.
Chitwan to Shaktikhor
After having breakfast drive to Shatikhor from Chitwan National Park, we walk around Shaktikhor Village where Chepang ethnic people live. Chepang are very few percentages of people in totality who lives in Chitwan and hill of Dhading district. They are mostly farmers.
Shaktikhor to Ghadi
Today, we walk from Shaktikhor to Ghadi having realistic existence of Chepang people. We live and sleep in Chepang home. We talk with them, walk with them and have fun with them too.
Ghadi to Chisapani Tar to Jayandala
From Ghadi we hike to Jayandala via Chisapani. We walk around 5 hours today during the period of village tour.
Jyandala to Sirachuli to Hattibang to Shaktikhor
We go to Shaktikhor via Hattibang having 6 hours drive. During the period of Maoist revolution when they came to peace process, their army was put by making camp in Shaktikhor.
Shaktikhor to Kathmandu
Drive from Shaktikhor to Kathmandu after acknowledging Chepang village life.
