Conveniently close to Kathmandu, Shivapuri is the newest national park of Nepal. Beginning at the holy shrine of Buddhanilkantha (sleeping Vishnu) we ascend the Shivapuri hill passing a renowned Buddhist monastery and enjoy a panoramic view of the Langtang and Mustang and the mighty Manaslu. Our descent next to the holy Bagmati River takes us to the famous viewpoint of Nagarkot on the edge of the Kathmandu valley.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu

Day 03 Kathmandu - Shivapuri

Drive to Buddhanilkantha and walk along the roads and check in the park. Pass the nun monastery and continues to up hill and get in the pine jungle. Camp at meadow near by Bagdour, which is source of Bagmati River.

Day 04 Shivapuri - Chisapani Dhap

We walk through the forest to the popular hill town of Nagarkot, from where spectacular views of Gaurishankar and Mt. Everest are to be had.

Day 05 Chisapani Dhap-Nagarkot
Duration: 7 hrs

Day 06 Nagarkot- Kathamandu
Duration: 4 hrs trek+1 hrs drive

Early morning view of sunrise and walk down hill to Chanagunarayan, situated at the end of along ridge which runs well into the valley, it is said to have been built in 323 A.D. The temple is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings. Drive to Kathmandu for Overnight.
